-Tope OYEKAN The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, will on wednesday, 6th March, 2024, hosts religious leaders at a meeting scheduled to hold at the Akesan Iperu Club 1954 Hall. The interactive discourse is part of the board's proposed action plans for the year, aimed at engaging with all stakeholders to jointly advance the cause of education, and using it as a tool to eradicate poverty, and creating a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous community. The conversation which is in two segments shall feature both the Christian and Islamic Clerics. The board shall be engaging with the Christian Clerics by 9.30am, while the Islamic Clerics shall have theirs at 1pm. Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described Tuesday's explosion in Ibadan, Oyo State, as a monumental tragedy. In a condolence message to his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, the government and the people of the state, Prince Abiodun regretted that the wanton loss of lives and the destruction of properties was due to neglect and criminality. The governor praised the swift response of the Oyo State government, which promptly dispatched first responders to the scene, thereby saving more lives. Mrs. WOMILOJU's glorious transition occurred on Thursday, 11th January, 2024, after an illness. Born on December, 1944 at Itapa Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, into the family of Bishop and Mrs. Michael Ajayi JAWOLUSI, the late educationist and community leader, was married to the LATE AROLE KANKANBIINA ROYAL FAMILY OF OGERE-REMO Very Rev (Sir) Frederick Oyenuga WOMILOJU (KCW) an Ogere Remo-born renowned educationist and Methodist clergy. A non governmental organisation (NGO) named, MEDIC FOR ALL, led by a Iperu/Sagamu born UK based, Miss Mofehintola Efuwape (duaghter of Hon. Funmi Akinyebo Efuwape), the Ogun state commissioner for special duties and in conjuction with the Health department of Sagamu Local Government, has organised a free medical outreach for the good people of Sagamu. The medical outreach which attracts hundreds of beneficiaries, was held today in Sagamu town. According to the lead organiser, Miss Efuwape, who explained the reasons for the event and stated, that it was as part of her kind gestures and social responsibility towards giving back to his maternal home town.  The outreach also focused on blood test, high blood pressure test, drugs and medication process and including quality medical advice from experts.
