In the dawn of the 2023/2024 academic session, the Eleyun Charitable Organization, led by the visionary CEO, Hon. Adetayo Adenaike (commonly known as Tayo Eleyun), embarked on a noble journey to illuminate the path of education for those most in need. The initiative was tailored for indigent students demonstrating not only a positive attitude towards education but also outstanding academic performance. Selected from various secondary schools in Ijebu Igbo, the ten beneficiaries exemplified unwavering dedication to their studies. The scholarship package extended beyond mere tuition fees, encompassing essential resources such as subject textbooks, notebooks, two sets of school uniforms per student, school bags, and other writing materials. For these JSS 2 students, the support promised by the organization would span their entire secondary education, with a commitment to aiding the three among them who excel in their WAEC exams to further their studies

Oba Adetona College of Governance To Be Affiliated To NIPSS, Says Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed that efforts are in top gear to affiliate the Oba Sikiru Adetona College of Governance with the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, for the training of high ranking government officials. The governor made this known at the 90th birthday and 64th coronation anniversary thanksgiving of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, held at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour, Ita-Olowajoda-Ijasi, Ijebu-Ode on Sunday. He said Permanent Secretaries from the state would be the first to enrol to enable them benefit from the college, which is the brain child of the Awujale. The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for this discrepancy, leaving the community in a state of frustration and despair.   Despite repeated appeals and demands for action, the IBEDC has shown blatant disregard for the plight of the people of Iperu Remo. The Ojude Oba Iperu Planning Committee has commenced the registration of Traditional Age-grade Groups (Egbe Ibile), Families, Clubs, and Associations, who are interested in participating at this year's Ojude Oba Festival, holding at Oja Ale Square, Iperu Remo, on the 3rd day of the 2024 Ileya Celebration. According to an update released today by the Secretary of the Committee, Alhaji SBO OMISANYA, twelve Egbe Ibiles, Families, Clubs, and Associations, have so far indicated their interest to participate at the event, having paid the stipulated sum of #20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) registration fee. This payment guarantees the applicant a space comprising a Tent and 2 Dozens of Chairs with tables, at the Ojude Oba ground.
