The Ijebu North chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has kept its promise by awarding cash prizes to the winners of its maiden Youth Essay Competition, which took place between August and September 2024. At its quarterly meeting held at the Senator Biyi Durojaye Complex, Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat in Ijebu Igbo on Friday, October 18, 2024, winners were presented with cheques for their respective prizes. The top prize of fifty thousand naira (#50,000) went to Osonowo Deborah, while Fadipe Timileyin and Adebanjo Toyyibah, who placed second and third, received thirty thousand (#30,000) and twenty thousand naira (#20,000) respectively. The Ogun State Government has released the names of additional non-statutory members appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun to run four agencies of government. The agencies are Gateway Trading Company, Food Crops Marketing Board, Ogun State Parks and Gardens, and Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency.
