OLOWO OLOYE EMPOWERMENT AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION CELEBRATES FOUNDER'S RETIREMENT AND 3RD ANNIVERSARY WITH COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME ON THURSDAY, 1ST MAY

The Olowo Oloye Empowerment and Education Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, the first female Accountant General of the Federation, in memory of her late father, Alhaji Surakat Oyebanjo SANNI (Olowo Oloye), former Seriki Adeen of Iperu, is set to celebrate its founder's retirement from the federal civil service and its third anniversary of existence with a community outreach programme on Thursday, 1st of May, 2025.
The programme, themed "Giving Back to Society," according to a release from its Managing Director, Ms Titilope MADEIN, aims to make a positive impact on the community through various initiatives.
Since its inception, the Foundation committed to creating a world where communities are empowered to thrive and reach their full potential has focused on empowering communities through various initiatives, including
- Provision of scholarships and school supplies to children in underserved areas.
- Organizing literacy programmes and educational workshops.
- Empowering individuals through skill acquisition programmes and micro-financing support.
- Supporting entrepreneurship through capacity building and seed funding.
- Advocating for gender equality and children's rights.
- Undertaking community development projects such as providing clean water and healthcare access.
- Building partnerships with government agencies and international bodies.
The activities planned for the event, which holds at the Akesan Iperu Club 1954 premises, Atenda, Iperu, commencing from 10 am, include:
- Medical outreach: Conduct medical tests for 500 people, providing essential healthcare services to those in need.
Scholarship awards: presentation of letters of award of scholarships to benefitting students from Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Akesan Community Grammar School, and Ajagbe High School for the 2025/2026 academic session.
- Distribution of palliative items: Providing relief to vulnerable members of the community through the distribution of essential items.
This event marks a significant milestone in the foundation's journey, which was established three years ago to promote inclusive access to education, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community development.
Since its inception, the foundation has implemented various programmes, including support to students with the payment of JAMB, WAEC, and NECO fees, provision of monthly stipends to elderly women, and entrepreneurship empowerment to women, farmers, and youths.
Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, the founder and chairperson of the foundation, expressed her gratitude to the community for their support and enthusiasm. "As I retire from the federal civil service, I am thrilled to dedicate my time and energy to giving back to society. This outreach programme is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact in our community." said Dr. MADEIN.
Meanwhile, the founder will also be hosted to a grand homecoming reception by the Iperu community on Friday, 2nd May, 2025.
The event organised under the auspices of the Iperu Akesan Development Association is to celebrate her meritorious service to her fatherland and unblemished career in the Federal Civil service, as well as honouring her for making positive impacts on her hometown, Iperu Akesanland.
