TEMITOPE OYEKAN COMMISERATES WITH YEYE ADENIKE ADEBUTU AND HON. OLADIPUPO ADEBUTU ON THE DEMISE OF IYALODE AKARIGBO, ALHAJA MUJIDAT OGUNNAIKE

Temitope OYEKAN, a retired Deputy Director of Information in the Ogun State Local Government Service, and the immediate-past Head of Department, Information, Education and Sports, Ikenne Local Government, has commiserated with Yeye Adenike Adebutu, on the passing of her loving mum, Alhaja Mujidat Abeke OGUNNAIKE, the revered Iyalode Akarigbo, who departed this life on Sunday, 11th May, 2025, at the age of 76.

In a condolence message released to the press on monday, OYEKAN expressed his heartfelt condolence to Yeye ADEBUTU, and her amiable husband, Hon. Oladipupo ADEBUTU, on the glorious transition of the well-loved and much-respected Iyalode Akarigbo, Alhaja Mujidat OGUNNAIKE.

"On behalf of my darling wife, Aderemi, and myself, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Yeye Adenike Omolola ADEBUTU, the Yeye Okanlomo of Iperu Akesanland, Yeye Otun Ajagungbade of Remoland, Erelu Lisa Aje of Egbaland, and Yeye Asiwaju of Odogbolu, on the loss of her beloved mother. The deceased was not only a loving mother, but also a pillar of strength to many who knew and came across her while alive. A community development enthusiast, Oluaye's legacy as a champion and an advocate for women's rights, as well as justice, equity, and fairness for all, will forever be remembered," OYEKAN, said in the message.

OYEKAN urged Yeye Adenike to take solace in God, the giver and taker of life, knowing how much she would miss her wise counsel and motherly affection, noting that the deceased has gone to rest in the bosom of almighty Allah, her creator.

"While the loss of a parent is always painful, no matter how long they lived, kindly take solace in the Almighty God who giveth and taketh. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may you and the entire family, especially, your siblings, Nkechi, Lanre, Ajewole, and Akin, find comfort in the memories of her remarkable life," stated, OYEKAN.

He also condoled with Yeye Adenike's husband, and son-in-law to the deceased, Hon. Sir Dr. Chief Oladipupo Olatunde  ADEBUTU, the Seriki of Iperu Akesanland, Otun Ajagungbade of Remoland, Lisa Aje of Egbaland, and Asiwaju of Odogbolu, on the glorious transition of the political amazon. 
"My dear honourable, sir, we offer our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mother-in-law, who was a trusted confidant, political mentor, and mother figure to you.
Our hearts go out to you at this moment, as we pray that God gives you the fortitude to bear her departure.

" Though, Alhaja Mujidat Abeke OGUNNAIKE is no more, but her legacies as a brave, bold, and brilliant woman, shall remain indelible, especially on the political scene, which she bestroded like a colossus, earning her the sobriquet, Oluaye," OYEKAN, a former Personal Assistant and Publicist to Hon. ADEBUTU, concluded in the message.
