Basorun Adebayo Awosanya appointed as Consultant to Ogun State Governor

Ogun State, Nigeria – August 2025 – In a recent announcement from the Ogun State Government, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has approved the appointment of Basorun Adebayo Awosanya of Sagamu Local Government as a Consultant to the Governor.
The appointment, which was communicated in an official letter from the Governor's office, is set to take effect from Monday, 11th August 2025.
According to the letter, the remuneration and benefits for the new position will be in strict accordance with the state's extant Remuneration Package for Political, Public, and Judicial Office Holders.
Governor Abiodun extended his "hearty congratulations" to Mr. Awosanya, calling the appointment "well-deserved." He also offered his best wishes for a "very successful and rewarding tenure of Office."
The letter formally requests that Mr. Awosanya accept the offer in writing to finalise the appointment.
This strategic appointment is seen as part of the administration's ongoing efforts to incorporate experienced and dedicated individuals into its governance structure to drive the state's development agenda .
