REMO DECIDES: OPP Convener, Olola Faith Daniel Declares Total Support for APC’s Princess Elegbeji

The race for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the August 16 by-election has taken a decisive turn as the Ogun Progressive People (OPP); a coalition of politically conscious and development-driven citizens, has thrown its full weight behind Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer.

In a bold declaration of support letter signed by its Convener and Director General, Olola F. Daniel and sighted by *Instant News*,  the group described Elegbeji as the “best-fit candidate” to succeed the late 'IJAYA', whose passing left a significant leadership gap in the constituency.

The group lauded Elegbeji’s proven track record of championing community development, delivering impactful projects while also maintaining a strong advocacy for Remo’s socio-economic advancement. They stressed that her candidacy combines the advantage of party continuity,continuous gender representation and alignment with the APC’s majority in the House of Representatives, a combination they believe will fast-track legislative delivery and attract more federal opportunities to the constituency.

“This is not just about winning an election; it is about securing Remo’s future,” the statement read. “The person to fill this sensitive vacuum must build on Ijaya’s legacy, uphold the values of our great party and sustain the progress already in motion. We have found that person in Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji.”

The OPP called on all Remonians to vote massively for Elegbeji, emphasizing that her victory would ensure seamless continuation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and complement the developmental vision of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Declaring their readiness to back the APC candidate “with prayers, resources and full commitment,” the group further expressed confidence that Elegbeji’s emergence would not only transform the Remo Federal Constituency but also serve as a political inspiration across Ogun State.

Your dedication to uplifting our community, addressing the pressing needs of Remo citizens, and initiating impactful projects has set you apart as a true leader. Time and again, you have proven your deep investment in the welfare of the people, and this is exactly the kind of representation our constituency needs.

We are better off electing a candidate with a verifiable, vested interest in advocating for all that matters to Remoland and Remonians, especially in crucial ongoing discussions that protect, preserve, and advance Remo’s values, ensuring speedy development at the Green Chamber of the Federal House of Representatives.
