The Articulated Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), under the leadership of its Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, popularly known as Danku, has inaugurated over 3,000 branch executives across Ogun State.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, at the union's secretariat located in Carwash, Abeokuta, where newly elected officials were formally sworn into office to begin a three-year tenure.
The inaugurated executives comprise Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Secretaries drawn from various branches of the union across the state. According to union officials, a significant number of the executives were returned unopposed, reflecting the confidence and trust reposed in them by members.
The oath of office and swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, who charged the new executives to remain reliable, relevant, and focused in the discharge of their responsibilities and in advancing the objectives of transport unions in Ogun State.
In a further show of support, members of the association passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, applauding his administration's efforts in strengthening the union and expanding opportunities for members.

AMORAN remains one of the most prominent commercial transport unions operating in Ogun State. Under the leadership of Otunba Sokoya, the association has witnessed notable growth, including the introduction of loan schemes for riders, welfare programmes, and various community empowerment initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of members.
Speaking at the event, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya expressed appreciation to the administration of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for its continued support of transport unions and for ongoing infrastructural development across the state.

He commended the governor's commitment to improving road infrastructure and creating a more enabling environment for transport operators, while assuring members that the union would continue to work in partnership with the government to promote peace, order, and development within the transport sector.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone for AMORAN as it strengthens its leadership structure across Ogun State ahead of another three years of union administration and service to members.
