Belarus Frigate Takes Relief To Widows With Food Items, Health Checkups In Abeokuta

In a heartwarming demonstration of compassion and service to humanity, the Brothers Across Nigeria Int'l (BAN INT'L) Belarus Frigate has extended its Community Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach to widows in Ogun State. No fewer than 120 widows benefitted from the initiative, which held in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The exercise featured the distribution of essential food items, including rice, spaghetti, salt, and vegetable oil. In addition, beneficiaries received free medical checkups, such as blood pressure and sugar level tests, alongside a health talk focused on managing these conditions.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the exercise, the Chairman of BAN Int'l Belarus Frigate in Odeda Local Government, Mr. Olaegbe Idris, said the initiative aligns with his administration’s vision of providing succour to the needy, particularly in light of the current economic challenges facing Nigerians.

“This programme is part of our resolve to stand as a beacon of hope for the less privileged. The Brothers Across Nigeria Int'l has consistently demonstrated its commitment to serving the community meritoriously and this effort is another testament to that mission,” Idris stated.
He further appreciated members of his executive team for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the success of the project.

The beneficiaries, who could not contain their joy, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Belarus Frigate for the timely intervention, with many of them describing the gesture as a lifeline in these difficult times, offering both material relief and emotional reassurance. They also offered prayers for the continued progress of the association and its leadership.

This initiative further affirms BAN’s growing reputation as a social pillar, dedicated to uplifting lives and supporting communities across Nigeria.
