AMORAN Immediate Chairman, Alowonle, Welcomes President Tinubu to Fidau Prayer for Late Awujale of Ijebu

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) immediate Chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Alowonle, has extended a warm welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will be attending the 8-day fidau prayer for the late Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona, tomorrow, July 20, 2025. The prayer ceremony is being held in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where the monarch passed away at the age of 91.


Otunba Alowonle expressed his delight in greeting President Tinubu on behalf of AMORAN members. He commended Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun and the people of Ijebu Ode for their efforts in hosting the President and other dignitaries expected at the event. "We are honored to welcome President Tinubu to our great state for this significant occasion," Alowonle stated.


The AMORAN immediate Chairman also praised Governor Abiodun for his leadership and vision in ensuring the smooth hosting of the President. "Governor Abiodun's commitment to the development and progress of Ogun State is truly commendable," Alowonle added.


The fidau prayer is an important Islamic tradition held to mark the passing of a loved one. It brings together family, friends, and dignitaries to pay their respects and offer prayers for the deceased. In this case, the late Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona, was a revered monarch who played a significant role in the community.²
