REMO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY DESERVES CONTINUITY OF PROGRESS", AMORAN CHAIRMAN DRUMS SUPPORT FOR AYOOLA ELEGBEJI
As the August 16 by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency approaches, the political atmosphere in Ogun State is witnessing a surge in endorsements and strategic alignments. Among the latest to throw his weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji, is the State Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya.
Speaking in Abeokuta on Wednesday, Otunba Sokoya described Hon. Elegbeji as “a woman of competence, character and capacity,” who embodies the spirit of effective representation and is primed to sustain the legacy of the late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga (IJAYA).
Sokoya noted that the late lawmaker left behind a legacy of people-focused representation, legislative excellence and deep-rooted connections with her constituents, particularly the grassroots. According to him, Elegbeji’s candidacy represents not just a political continuity, but a renewed promise of development and purposeful engagement with the needs of the people.
“Remo Federal Constituency cannot afford to derail from the trajectory of progress set in motion by our dear late representative. Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji is tested and trusted. Her antecedents reflect a commitment to service and a readiness to deliver. She is not a stranger to our yearnings,” Otunba Sokoya declared.
The AMORAN chairman emphasized that his support was not just political, but a civic responsibility borne out of his firsthand knowledge of Elegbeji’s passion for developmental strides.
“As someone who works closely with the grassroots, I can say without mincing words that Ayoola Elegbeji is the most prepared and people-conscious candidate in this race. Her emergence is timely and her victory is necessary,” he said.
Otunba Sokoya also used the opportunity to call on everyone to mobilize massively in support of the APC candidate, noting that a vote for Elegbeji is a vote for continuity, stability and progress.
“I believe in good governance and effective representation. I am one of the many admirers of the late Rt. Hon. Onanuga because of what she stood for and today, I am proud to identify with Hon. Elegbeji as well because I believe she has what it takes to sustain the legacy. Let us all rally behind her and ensure Remo Federal Constituency does not miss a step on the path of greatness,” he concluded.
