REMO BY-ELECTION: OPP Convener, Congratulates Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji on Resounding Victory

The Convener and Director General of the Ogun Progressive People (OPP), Olola Faith Daniel, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji on her landslide victory in the just-concluded House of Representatives by-election for Remo Federal Constituency, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

In his congratulatory message, Olola Daniel stated that “the voice of the people has been clearly echoed through the overwhelming votes that elected Princess Elegbeji to represent us at the Green Chamber of the Federal House of Representatives.”

He described her emergence as “a triumph for democracy, progress, and the continuous service to the great people of Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency, as well as a clear affirmation of the genuine trust the electorate has in her character, capacity, and the progressive ideals of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Olola Daniel commended the people of Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North for their overwhelming support at the polls, adding that the victory was also a reflection of the purposeful leadership of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, whose developmental agenda played a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s base and securing the win.

He further urged the newly elected lawmaker to consolidate on the gains of her predecessor, the late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga (a.k.a. IJAYA), whose tenure, he noted, left indelible footprints in the constituency.

“I have no doubt that Princess Elegbeji will deliver beyond expectations. Her antecedents speak volumes of her capacity, courage, and commitment to people-oriented representation. We wish her wisdom, strength, courage, and dedication as she delivers exceptional leadership and representation for Remoland and all Remonians at the Green Chamber,” he declared.

Finally, he called on stakeholders and constituents to rally round the new lawmaker to ensure she succeeds in advancing the progressive vision for the Remo Federal Constituency.

Congratulations once again to MHR Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji!
