AMORAN Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Preaches Road Safety, Extends Christmas Cheer to Members

The Executive Chairman of the Articulated Motorcycle and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, has called for responsible celebrations and heightened road safety awareness among motorcycle operators and the public during the Christmas season.

In a Christmas press statement issued on behalf of the association’s National Executive Council and its nationwide membership, Otunba Sokoya extended warm festive greetings to all members, stakeholders, and Nigerians.

He described the season as a time for joy, gratitude, and reflection, urging everyone to embrace the spirit of love, peace, and generosity.

“On this joyous occasion of Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, which symbolises hope, redemption, and unconditional love,” Sokoya stated. “It is a time for us to come together with our families and communities, share gifts, and extend hands of fellowship to one another.”

Highlighting the increased vehicular movement typical of the period, the AMORAN boss issued a strong caution against reckless behaviour on the roads. He specifically charged all commercial motorcycle operators under the association’s umbrella to prioritise caution and strictly obey traffic regulations to prevent accidents.

“As we celebrate, let us remember that safety is paramount. I implore every rider and road user to be vigilant, patient, and responsible. Let us all work to ensure that this season is marked by joy, not tragedy,” he added.

The statement concluded with prayers for a peaceful and prosperous New Year for the nation, expressing hope for improved welfare and growth within the transport sector in the coming year.
